Lessons from buddhism

I'm leading a book called "practice of not to think" written by a monk of buddhism in Japan. His book was best seller according to my friend.
I've been taking notes while I'm reading this but sometime wrote on this big paper and put it on my wall.
"JI" = the emotion to hope the peace for all creature existing include human being
"HI"= the sympathy to hope to get rid of some trouble or sorrow
"KI"= emotion to feel happy when something good happens to other ppl.
"SHA"= the condition to keep calm down without anger and confusing.
This 4 thing. I'm going to remind myself all the time.

Ohanami Picnic

The organization I'm participating in is Japan America Society Greater Cincinnati Young Professional. JASGCYP is established to have more events for Japanese and American people in Cincinnati.
One of our newest event held this weekend was Ohanami Picnic. Ohanami is Japanese traditional habit in spring. As you know, we have a lot of cherry blossoms in Japan. To celebrate the successful blossom of cherry blossom tree, Japanese people eat lunch box together under the cherry blossom trees in spring. of course drinking and eating is what we do there lol
Since this weekend is Easter in the U.S., we combined Ohanami and Easter together as our event.
It ended up as successful event. JASGCYP is so glad that we had a lot of children came out for egg hunting and people for having a good time near cherry blossom trees.
